CIECH’s shares admitted to trading on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange

On Monday 22 August 2016, the Frankfurt Stock Exchange issued decisions on the admission and introduction of CIECH’s shares to trading in the General Standard sub-segment of the Frankfurt regulated market. The shares will be introduced to trading on Tuesday 23 August this year. CIECH, as the first Polish company, will have its shares listed at the same time at the stock exchange both in Warsaw and Frankfurt (the so-called dual listing). The listing of the company’s shares at one of the most important stock exchanges is yet another step in the implementation of its strategy of expansion in international markets.

CIECH, as the leading Polish chemical company, is ready to have its potential verified by international experts, who evaluate such companies as BASF or K+S on a daily basis. In addition, the listing of the shares at the Frankfurt Stock Exchange will also enhance visibility and credibility of the company among its business partners and global investment funds.

The aim of “Dual listing” is also to broaden the investor base. – We believe that the dual listing of our shares will improve the attractiveness of CIECH and have a positive impact on the long-term development of the value of the company. At the same time, I would like to emphasise that the Warsaw Stock Exchange continues to be our main listing market – said Maciej Tybura, President of the Management Board of CIECH.

From 23 August this year, shareholders of CIECH will be able to choose the stock exchange where the shares held by them are listed. At the same time, the company continues to be under the full supervision of the Polish Financial Supervision Authority and subject to the Polish legislation. All the shares will continue to be deposited with Krajowy Depozyt Papierów Wartościowych S.A. (the Polish National Depository for Securities).

The Frankfurt Stock Exchange is one of the major stock exchanges in the world, the third largest stock exchange in Europe and the largest in Germany. In addition, the company also conducts its business activity in Germany - with one of its subsidiaries - CIECH Soda Deutschland - located  in that country.
