Chwastox. Say no to weeds!

CIECH Sarzyna, the largest Polish manufacturer of pesticides, is launching the latest edition of its marketing campaign aimed at promoting its flagship anti-weed product: Chwastox. The adverts for the weedkiller, which has earned the trust of three generations of Polish farmers, will now be aired on TV (TVP and Polsat channels), shown online, and published in the agricultural press.

The motto of the campaign is “Say no to weeds.” Chwastox is the most popular family of herbicides, and has been recognized for years by both professional farmers and amateurs. The state-of-the-art formula of the product is excellent for both protecting crops and nurturing grass.

“Our main purpose is to remind Polish farmers and gardeners that they do not have to look to foreign manufacturers to find an effective measure for fighting weeds. The best possible preparation, adapted to their needs and expectations, has been created here in Poland. This is where Chwastox comes from,” said Mariusz Grelewicz, President of the Management Board of CIECH.

The planned marketing activities include a 15-second TV slot and an 8-second sponsored billboard aired in March on the Polish Television and Polsat channels, a banner campaign on agricultural web portals, adverts in the agricultural press (published from February to May), and a number of attractive display items in specialist stores. The campaign has been designed and carried out by the WALK advertising agency.

The Chwastox label was also changed at the beginning of the year. The previous labels for herbicides, including those manufactured by CIECH Sarzyna, were very technical and text-dominated. The new Chwastox labels are much more legible and provide key information about the product, such as how to use it, the recommended dose, and the benefits, using a system of intuitive icons and a clear layout.
