CIECH Cargo wants to boost its employment and acquire more orders from external clients

The CIECH Cargo company, part of the chemical Group, is looking for railroad employees in connection with its further development plans. The carrier wants to hire train drivers and auditors throughout Poland as well as drivers of powered railway vehicles, shunters and setters in Inowrocław and Janikowo, offering work in a flexible system with a lot of perks and bonuses, as part of a large and stable Group. Approx. 90 percent of services are provided by CIECH Cargo within the CIECH Group, thus building competitive advantages of the chemical group in the area of logistics and transport. However, the company wants to increase the scale of its operations and acquire more external orders.

Since August, the new president of CIECH Cargo has been Andrzej Pawłowski, an experienced manager of the railway industry, in the past, holding such offices as Vice-President of Polskie Linie Kolejowe, the operator of the railway network in Poland, as well as the President of the Management Board of CTL Północ and a member of the Management Board for operations and exploitation of the CTL Logistics Group, i.e. the largest private railway carrier in Poland.

- We want to increase the scale of our operations and diversify our portfolio of services. We will continue to provide the highest quality transport services, but we also want to fight for the market. We have certain advantages: experienced staff, a modern fleet of electric locomotives, as well as full service facilities for rolling stock inspections. We are looking for employees, offering them flexible employment opportunities, modern and comfortable rolling stock, training and a number of extras – says Andrzej Pawłowski, President of the Management Board of CIECH Cargo.

CIECH Cargo provides both training for people who have not previously had any contact with the railway industry, and helps in extending the qualifications of passenger vehicle drivers. In addition, the company also offers door-to-door transport, i.e. it provides transport from home to the location of the locomotive and back, and also pays the so-called separation allowance for long journeys.

The planned increase in employment is an element of the company's development and intentions to increase the scale of operations and search for new orders. The advantage of CIECH Cargo is a wide range of maintenance services for the rolling stock - from the simplest level of ongoing repairs, to P1 to P5, i.e. the highest level of rolling stock maintenance. This allows for very high wagon availability rates, at the level of more than 90%. The company also provides rolling stock maintenance services to third-party customers.

CIECH Cargo employs around 260 people, has 16 locomotives and 1,500 railway cars. The situation of the registered office of the company is Inowrocław.

The CIECH Group is one of the largest chemical groups operating in the Central European region. The CIECH Group is, among others, the second largest producer of sodium carbonate (soda ash) and sodium bicarbonate (baking soda) and the largest supplier of silicates in Europe, as well as a leading producer of evaporated salt and the largest Polish manufacturer of plant protection products (PPP).
