CIECH Soda Polska signed a supply agreement to provide brine to its production plant up until 2035

Thanks to the signed agreement between CIECH Soda Polska and Inowrocław Salt Mines "Solino", CIECH's production plants in Inowrocław and Janikowo up until 2035 will be supplied with brine – the raw material necessary for the production of soda and salt. The amount of brine transferred will be similar to the value specified in the current contract, which is valid until 2025. The signed agreement will translate into maintaining the current scale of production and the continuity of operations carried out by CIECH Soda Polska in the upcoming years. It also ensures stable brine supplies to both plants on predictable terms.

Furthermore, the signed document takes into account the distribution of investment costs necessary to implement the agreement. CIECH Soda Polska will cover two-thirds of the planned investment expenses, which currently translates into approximately PLN 220 million, spread evenly over time, with a view to the end of 2026.

- We have secured a long-term, stable supply of this basic raw material necessary for the production of our flagship products – soda and salt. This is good news for CIECH Soda Polska and the entire region. Along with other initiatives that we take to increase the competitiveness of the plants in Inowrocław and Janikowo, this creates a solid foundation for stable growth in the upcoming years – says Dawid Jakubowicz, President of the Management Board of the CIECH S.A.

Brine is obtained from underground rock salt deposits and transported to CIECH's production plants through pipelines. In the Polish soda plants, CIECH obtains brine from external suppliers, whereas the German soda plant has its own source of this raw material.
