Kamil Majczak appointed as the President of the Management Board of CIECH S.A., Marcin Puziak assumed the position of a new CFO; outgoing Members of the Management Board join the Board of Kulczyk Investments

On 25 May, Kamil Majczak, a Member of the Management Board of CIECH S.A., was appointed its President by the Supervisory Board of the company. Simultaneously, Marcin Puziak, the Controlling Director, assumed the position of Chief Financial Officer (CFO) as a Member of the Management Board. The President of the Management Board of CIECH S.A., Dawid Jakubowicz, and a Member of the Management Board responsible for Financial Affairs, Jarosław Romanowski, resigned on Thursday due to their planned positions in the Management Board of Kulczyk Investments – an indirectly controlling company of CIECH S.A.

Kamil Majczak and Marcin Puziak will assume their new positions on 27 May. The Management Board of CIECH S.A. will operate with a two-member composition.

- After almost five years, it's time to pass the reins of the Group to a new team. The change is evolutionary and planned. Kamil has been a Member of the Management Board for a year and has been working at CIECH for five years. He supervised key processes and prepared both strategies of the Group. Marcin has been reforming the Group's controlling function for four years, implementing Business Intelligence and participating in the execution of numerous key refinancing and restructuring initiatives. Both of them, supported by a group of key managers, will continue to transform the Group in accordance with the provisions of the strategy for 2022-2024. I would like to thank all employees of the Group for their dedication and effort over the past years, and I wish the new Management Board success – says Dawid Jakubowicz, the outgoing President of the Management Board of CIECH S.A.

Over a period of five years, the Management Board, headed by Dawid Jakubowicz, implemented the strategy for the years 2019-2021, under which the largest investment programme worth PLN 2 billion was carried out. As part of this strategy, the company also obtained long-term financing of over PLN 2 billion on highly competitive terms and transformed the Group's structure, as well as its asset portfolio (including the sale of the resin production company and the integration of the Spanish Proplan, acquired in 2018).

One of the priorities was also the care for the safety and working conditions of employees, as well as the development of an engaging organisational culture. In 2022, the CIECH Group achieved a record-breaking EBITDA result of over PLN 1 billion, which is the highest in its history.

- A significant achievement in recent years is the establishment of strong financial foundations and the improved business efficiency within the Group. This allows us to plan its stable development in the coming years, taking into account actions, among others, related to the implementation of ESG goals, such as energy transformation and achieving climate neutrality. Additionally, the Group is ready to meet the challenges arising from the economic slowdown and continue its successful business transformation – says Jarosław Romanowski, the outgoing Member of the Management Board of CIECH S.A.
